Remengesau’s trial for violation of code of ethics set for November 2

Remengesau who was charged with 19 counts of violation of code of ethics for failing to disclose assets during his term as President of Palau will appear at 9 am on November 2 for the trial of his case.

The court has issued summons to nine people who will be called as witnesses during the trial.

The trial will be heard at courtroom 104 in Koror.

Among the witness that the court summoned are Margaret Chin, Hasinta Tabelual, Miriam Sakuma, Ken Uyehara and investigator Bradley Kumangai from the Office of the Special Prosecutor.

Remengesau through his attorney Oldiais Ngiraikelau filed motions to dismiss the case but the motions were denied by Associate Justice Kathleen Salii.
