Remengesau’s trial starts today

Remengesau was charged with failing to disclose assets during his two-year term as president.

The court has issued summons to nine people who will be called as witnesses during the trial, which will be held in Courtroom 104 here in Koror.

Among the witness are Margaret Chin, Hasinta Tabelual, Miriam Sakuma, Ken Uyehara and investigator Bradley Kumangai from the Office of the Special Prosecutor.

Remengesau, through his attorney Oldiais Ngiraikelau, filed motions to dismiss the case, but they were denied by Associate Justice Kathleen Salii.
