ROTA, under the leadership of Mayor Aubry Hocog, is continuously monitoring the tropical depression that formed near the island and Guam over the weekend.
“We’re just closely monitoring the weather reports. We review all notices we receive,” Hocog said.
She added that, so far, no classes or activities had been postponed.
“We will continue on with our activities,” she said.
On Saturday the National Weather Service reported that Tropical Depression Sanvu would continue to weaken as it moved west-northwest.
“The remnants of Sanvu are expected to move towards the Marianas bringing some scattered showers and isolated thunderstorms early next week,” the NWS stated.
As Sanvu moved west-northwest, rain showers were expected, it added.
