SAIPAN World Resort is reopening its doors to the public today, Friday, April 16.
Its local sales and marketing manager, Mike Babauta, said they are also reopening the Pororo rooms named after Pororo the Little Penguin, a popular anime character in South Korea.
Babauta said Saipan World Resort has 10 Pororo rooms, and they were always occupied by tourists.
Like the other hotels on island, Saipan World Resort had to shut down in March last year when governments around the world imposed travel restrictions in response to the Covid-19 pandemic.
In October, due to public demand, the hotel reopened its Buffet World restaurant.
Babauta said they now believe that people in the community deserve more after several stressful months.
Saipan World Resort is also reopening its Superior Rooms, Deluxe Rooms, the Sunset Beach Bar Happy Hour, the Oasis Rush-Hour lunch and Sunday brunch, the Pororo Park and three swimming pools — the Castle pool, the kids pool and the Wave pool — except the slides.
Babauta said Superior Rooms guests will receive welcome drinks at Oasis Lounge, extended hours of stay with check-in time at 10 a.m. and check-out time at 3 p.m., and two-day access to the pools.
The Deluxe Rooms come with welcome drinks at Oasis Lounge, extended hours with check-in time at 10 a.m., check-out time at 3 p.m., 10% off beverages at Sunset Beach Bar, 10% off Sunday Brunch at Oasis Lounge, and one-hour free access to Pororo Park.
Pororo room guests will be pampered with welcome drinks at Oasis Lounge, have unlimited access to Pororo Park, two-day access to the pools, 10% off beverages at Sunset Beach Bar, 10% off Sunday Brunch at Oasis Lounge, and extended hours with check-in time at 10 a.m. and check-out time at 3 p.m.
