At around 1:05 a.m. two minors were arrested in Malakal while the two others were apprehended in Meyuns at around 2:40 a.m.
According to the report the four male juveniles were spotted by the police while they were conducting a police patrol in the area.
The suspects were brought to the police office and cited for minor consumption of alcohol.
On the same day at 10: 20 p.m. another three minors were nabbed by the police for alcohol consumption and possession of marijuana while they were conducting police patrol in Topside.
According to the report, police were in routine patrol when they spotted three juveniles drunks. Police brought the three minors in the office. While conducting police search, one of the suspects found a possession of marijuana.
The suspects were detained. The case of minor consumption of alcohol and possession of restricted substance are now being charged against the suspects.
Meanwhile, another22-year-old male Palauan was arrested by the police for possession of marijuana and drinking alcohol in public place.
The man was identified as Winfield Ngiramolau.
According to the report at around 1:08 a.m. , on August 5 while was conducting foot patrol in Iyebukel hamlet when they spotted the suspect drinking alcohol in the public.
Police arrested Ngiramolau and brought to the office and while conducting police search marijuana in his possession.
The suspect is now detained at the Division of Corrections. A case of drinking in a public place is now being charged against him while the case of possession of marijuana is under police probe.
