IMPERIAL Pacific International on Friday paid some of its remaining employees their salaries, IPI management said.
As promised to the Commonwealth Casino Commission earlier last week, IPI said it released “some payroll” Friday morning for the security guards manning the casino, the villa and the unfinished hotel building in Garapan.
However, IPI said “some are still not paid for three payrolls,” adding that IPI has verbally informed the casino commission, the CNMI Department of Labor and some lawmakers about it.
One of the security guards said all the remaining six security guards, including himself, received their salaries on Friday. Even a security guard who had requested to be furloughed two weeks ago due to health reasons also received her salary.
But IPI said the four employees in its executive office have yet to receive their salaries.
This coming Friday is supposed to be their payday again.
