The Elections Commission said that there are six candidates for the position. Ueki was elected as one of the 13 senators in the last Nov. 2008 general elections.
The following individuals filed their candidacies for at large legislator; (1) Kenji Dengokl, (2) Nancy wong, (3) Uchel Sechewas, (4) Olympia “Pia” Morei, (5) Franco Gibbons and Kambes Kesolei.The commission added that there are 4,000 registered voters and will identify the polling places later.Koror State has 12 hamlet legislator and five at large legislator.Ueki’s post was left vacant after he won of the seat as senator.Ueki is the Chairman of the Senate Committee on Capital Improvement Projects.
