Special election set in Ngarchelong State

Aderiano Noah and Dwight Ngirchemat got 23 votes each.

Election officer III Festus Ringang said they already certified the election result of Ngarcelong State on Sept. 14 excluding the result in Ngiriil hamlet.

He said the special election will be held next week to choose between the candidates to who will occupy the seat of eight Legislative seats.

The 8th general state election was held on August 31. Incumbent Gov. Browny Salvador maintained his post against his contender Lorenzo Ngiramolau.

Salvador got 342 votes against 219 votes to Ngiramolau.

According to State office the elected officials swearing in is tentatively on Oct. 8

This is the third consecutive term of Salvador being a Governor of Ngarchelong.

Meanwhile in Ngerbeched hamlet, Koror State, the result was also certified by Election Commission. The Legislature office, however, said that there is no schedule set yet for Felix Francisco’s swearing in.

Francisco won against his three contenders on the special election held on Sept. 6.

After swearing in Francisco will formally take the vacant seat in Legislature left by former legislator Timothy “Tero” Uehara who passed away last July.
