SSA said the presentation will cover a basic overview of the HCF as well as details about contributions and benefits. After the presentation, the public will be given a chance to air their questions and concerns.
The SSA staff has been conducting presentations with different groups, offices and agencies throughout Palau during the past weeks.
“Although we’ve held informational meetings at different states, Koror hamlets, and even with government and private agencies, we know that there are still many who may have questions regarding the HCF program,” SSA Administrator Greg Ngirmang said. “Because of this, we have scheduled a presentation for the general public, where everyone is invited to attend.”
For three weeks beginning Monday, the SSA office will also be conducting open enrollment for anyone who hasn’t completed their HCF enrollment forms.
“This will take place every weekday afternoon at 1:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. from November 8 to 26,” Ngirmang shared. “We have been using our database to systematically print enrollment forms, and we have already printed and distributed over 8,000 personalized enrollment forms.”
SSA informed Palau Horizon that there are still about 25 percent of all Palau’s employees that have not yet received their forms. To ensure that they reach as many companies and individuals as possible, SSA office has organized this three-week open enrollment period.
“We invite companies and individuals, including farmers, fishermen, taxi drivers, and domestic helpers, to visit our office during the open enrollment period,” Ngirmang announced.
