ON the 20th of May 2022, SSHS’s Color Guard took part in Northern Marianas College’s 41st Commencement Ceremony at Koblerville Gymnasium from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m.
Joining the celebration of the graduating students receiving their diplomas and degrees were SSHS Manta Ray Battalion’s new Cadet Command Sergeant Major Anthony Villagomez and the Color Guard team under his command: C/SFC Shanna Villaluz, who held the CNMI flag; left guard, C/CPT Darl Banzuela; and right guard, C/SSG Antonio Cabrera.
The JROTC Color Guard was introduced to present the colors for the playing of the national and CNMI anthems. They then proceeded to post the colors. Later on, after the moving of the tassels, the Color Guard was called upon to retire the colors.
