Tatiana Babauta, Francisco Aguon reappointed to Zoning Board

GOVERNOR Ralph DLG Torres has reappointed Zoning Board Chairwoman Tatiana Babauta and Vice Chairman Francisco Aguon for another two-year term on the board.

The terms of Babauta and Aguon are set to expire Friday, May 14.

For its part, the Saipan and Northern Islands Legislative Delegation is expected to hold a session soon to act on these reappointments.

In his separate appointment letters to Babauta and Aguon, the governor said he was pleased to reappoint them.

He said he and Lt. Gov. Arnold I. Palacios are confident that Babauta and Aguon will continue to devote their time and efforts to an important board.

“Your commitment to continue serving our people in this capacity is most appreciated,” the governor said.

In his letter to the legislative delegation chairman, Senate Floor Leader Vinnie Sablan, the governor “respectfully requests the delegation’s favorable action” on the reappointments of Babauta and Aguon.

The governor did not reappoint former Zoning Board member Ignacio DLG Demapan whose term expired on March 4, 2020.

The terms of other Zoning Board members — Joe Ayuyu Jr., Kevin C. Deleon Guerrero and Perry Inos Jr. — will expire on May 26, 2022.
