On Wednesday, at 8:20 p.m. a 12- year- old female was brought to the hospital after she was reportedly assaulted by five unidentified suspects while the victim was on her way home.
Police investigation showed that around 6 p.m. the victim dropped her family into the Desekell Mart Store to buy something, when the victim while walking on her way home, five male suspects, boarding on bicycles approached and pushed her. The victim fell down and hit her head on the ground. Suspects teased her and fled the scene.
Victim sustained injuries on her head and brought to the hospital for treatment. The case is still under investigation.
On the same day, at around 10:11 a.m. a Korean national was also assaulted by unidentified suspect.
The victim identified as Koo Soon Park said that he was sitting in front of the Water world building parking lot in Medalaii, Koror when the suspect appeared and without provocation punched him on the face.
Victim sustained bruised on left cheek, while the suspect fled the area immediately.
In another incident, two minors were arrested by the police for involvement in a fight in front of the Palau Community College (PCC) Cafeteria.
The two were brought to the office and their parents invited to answer queries.
The case was endorsed to the Juvenile’s office for further investigation.
Meanwhile, a case of assault and battery were filed against Ruben Jose, a Palauan and 26 years old after he punched a man helping his wife in front of the Did Rad Ngmatel Gas Station.
The victim was identified as Mohammad Arvin, 28 years old.
According to the police investigation, the victim was helping the wife of the suspect in fixing her car, when the latter came in and argued with the victim. Without apparent reason Jose punched Arvin on his mouth two times.
Police responded and arrested the suspect.
The case is still under police investigation.
