“The more your child knows, the safer your child is”.  Educate your child with these tips and keep your child safe and out of trouble this summer:

• Always know where your child is and with whom at all times.• Encourage your child to always travel with a companion and to be home before dark.• It is illegal for persons under 21 years of age to purchase, possess, receive or consume alcoholic beverages.  This offense is punishable by up to 1 year in jail, and up to a $ 500.00 fine.  Stay safe and out of jail by drinking water.• It is illegal for any persons to operate any motor vehicle without a valid driver’s license.  You must be, at least, 16 years old to obtain a Palau Driver’s license.  Remember, reckless driving is illegal and can cause injury…even death.• Take to educate your kids on the harmful effects of Drugs. Possession and Use of any type of illegal drugs/substance is against the law, and punishable by fine and imprisonment.  The selling of illegal drugs is punishable by a minimum of 25 years in prison, and a minimum fine of $ 50,000.00.  Stay Safe; Stay Out of Jail; Stay Drug Free!                • It is illegal to drive a vehicle while under the influence of any intoxicating liquor or narcotic drugs.  Don’t put the lives of you kids at risk.    Keep them Alive; Stay Alcohol-Free.• Let your child know that for Emergency, 911 CAN BE ACCESSED BY HIS/HER CELL PHONE –   EVEN WITHOUT AIRTIME.
