Toilet bowl, A/C unit dumped near Navy Hill basketball court

COMMUNITY volunteer Max Aguon continues to find household items among the trash dumped in various areas of Saipan.

He said he found an old toilet bowl and a window type air-conditioning unit, among other household items, dumped near the Navy Hill basketball court on Dec. 16.

He is once again asking the cooperation of the community in maintaining the cleanliness of the island by complying with the anti-littering law and disposing of their trash responsibly.

On Saturday, Aguon and another volunteer, Aikiki Alexander, collected more than 1,000 lbs. of trash from beaches and other public areas.

Aguon also told Variety that a blower that was reported stolen from the Parks and Recreation office in As Lito was found by Thom Demapan who was cutting grass and tangan-tangan for his goat in a nearby area when he stumbled upon the item.

On Sept. 4, 2020, the Department of Public Safety arrested two individuals suspected of burglarizing the Parks and Recreation office on Aug. 17, 2020. Among the items  reported stolen were  a brush cutter, a battery pack, a blower, and a container of gas.
