Ngardmau Free Trade Zone Authority Chairman John K. Rechucher handed the certificates of acknowledgement to Vera Melimarang and Yuing Chin for participating the WIA Summer Program.
The students started training at the Ngardmau Free Trade Zone Authority last June 16 and completed it on July 25 under the supervision of Ces Ikyasang, Administrative Specialist of the Ngardmau Free Trade Zone Authority.
The students received each $300 for six weeks of working.
Chin and Melimarang said they learned a lot of office works such as inputting datas to the computer, bookkeeping, filing, answering phone calls and running errands.
Melimarang, a 15-year-old student from Mindszenty High School and incoming 10th grader said she can use the experience when she apply for work someday.
Melimarang said she wants to be a police officer someday.
Chin for he part said that it was a good experience and she had working and using office equipments.
Chin wants to be a Psychologist someday.
Ikyasang said members of the board are pleased to assist in this program to help youths of Palau in job training during summer break.
