Adeyemi Ogunjemilusi UNAMID Police Commissioner signed the Umayam’s promotion.
President Johnson Toribiong made this announcement during his press conference on Wednesday.He added that Umayam’s promotion was an achievement for Palau.Umayam is part of the peacekeeping efforts of the United Nations in Darfur.
Palau sent Umayam and another police officer to help in the peacekeeping efforts in the war torn area of Darfur.
