Peter Loney, Adjunct Professor and Executive Director is conducting a legislative needs assessment of Palau.
He said that is a comprehensive statement of the needs of a legislature or in what areas does the Legislature needs assistance.He said this assistance maybe in the form of training of resources staff or activities that will help strengthen Palau’s legislature.Loney said the Palau legislature requested UNDP to be included in its grants program.UNDP will provide external assistance to Palau to implement an effective Legislature that will benefit the entire populace.Loney is in the country to collect information from the Senate, House of Delegates, former Congress members and the community to determine which areas the Legislature needs assistance.
