US hands over airport security grant

In the notification of grant award, the Ministry of Public Infrastructure, Industries and Commerce, specifically the Bureau of Aviation received a grant of $411,650.

The itemized description of the grant award stated that the money will go to the purchase of equipment such as trade residue x-ray machine, explosive trace detection x-ray machine, walk-thru metal detectors, hand wand metal detectors, bomb detection kits, surveillance camera, parking area lights and light poles.

Earlier Palau received more grants from DOI in the amount of over $800,000for airport security and bank training.
