VINCOLE Lawncare Services has adopted the Laly 4 basketball court in Chalan Kanoa as part of Saipan Mayor Ramon “RB” Camacho’s Adopt-A-Place Program.

Vincent Norita and Nicole Deleon Guerrero, operator and owner of VLS, and their families joined Camacho for an official “adoption” ceremony on Friday afternoon.

Speaker Edmund Villagomez, Reps. Vincent Seman Aldan and Marissa Renee Flores  also attended the event and thanked the families for their commitment in playing an active role in the community.

Asked for comment, Norita told reporters, “More work, less talk. We’re going to do this one day at a time.”

“We will do our utmost to look after and maintain this basketball court, not only to show our commitment to the adopt-a-place program but to also give back something to the community,” he added.

Mayor Camacho is hoping that more people will get involved in the community. “We cannot do it alone, the CNMI government cannot do it alone — we need the community, we need to work together to improve and beautify our island,” he said.

The Laly 4 basketball court is the eighth place adopted under the mayor’s adopt-a-place program.
