DOCTOR Whitney Collins, a visiting veterinarian, will be offering vaccines and health exams at the Mayor’s Animal Shelter on Saturday, March 4, from 8 a.m. to 12 noon, and on Monday, March 6, from 9 a.m. to 12 noon in partnership with Saipan Humane Society. Dr. Collins is interested in dog population management to support a healthy island ecosystem, and excited to help our islands’ pets. She would like to extend her gratitude to Mayor RB Camacho for hosting her at his Animal Shelter and Clinic facility.
Services available include rabies vaccines, which can only be given by a licensed veterinarian. Other services will also be offered, including parvovirus vaccines and kennel cough vaccines for dogs, cat vaccines, microchips, heartworm tests, and a limited supply of flea/tick prevention medicine. Dr. Collins will also be available to address specific animal health concerns in 15-minute time slots. Costs per service range from $12 to $25.
Appointments will be on a walk-in basis. If bringing a cat, please ensure they are enclosed in a carrier or secure box. If bringing a dog, please ensure they are wearing a well-fitting leash.
