The woman called police on Monday at 8 pm and requested for assistance.
Police responded and picked up the woman somewhere and brought her to the police station for interview.During investigation, the victim revealed her ordeal to the police and said that her boyfriend took her by force to a residence in Iyebukel on Monday.The victim said she had been living in fear for her life while she and her boyfriend were living together until she decided to leave him and moved out from his residence recently.The boyfriend found her somewhere in Ngerbeched and took her by force to a place in Iyebukel.However the victim managed to escape and called police for assistance.Patrol Division Chief Ismael Aguon said that the incident is now under investigation and no arrest has been made yet.Aguon said the boyfriend has been identified.
