The public hearings will be on two nominations by Gov. Sebastian Anefal for the directorship positions that have not been filled since the new administration and the 8th Legislature were installed in January.
Gov. Comm. 8-81 is on the re-nomination of Josede Figirliyong as the director of the Department of Education and Alphonsus Ruwema as director of the Department of Public Works and Transportation.
The public hearings were scheduled on two separate days but due to the nature of the pending issues, the Resources, Education and Development Committee then decided to re-schedule the public hearings so it will discuss both of them on the same day.
Principal witnesses on the nomination of Josede Figirliyong include Anefal, the chairman of the Council of Pilung, the vice chairman of the Council of Tamol and Floor Leader Sabino Sauchomal.
For the nomination of Alphonsus Ruwema, the witnesses are Anefal, the chairman of COP and the chairman of COT.
Members of the public are also invited to offer their testimonies.
