TASI To Table Inc. regretfully informs the community, its student members, and volunteers that the 2023 TTT Student Mini Derby has been canceled due to strong winds and rough water expected for this Saturday, June 3.
“We’re very sorry to cancel this long-awaited event for TTT’s student members, but the safety of our students and volunteer fishermen will always come first,” said TTT President Gene Weaver. “The current forecast for this Saturday of 17-knot winds with gusts to 21 knots would mean sending students out on rough waters. That’s a risk we’ll never take.”
In place of the Mini-Derby, TTT on June 3 will be holding a private beach day filled with land-based games and activities, including a distribution of rods and reels for the students who successfully completed TTT’s student program.
