AGAPE Christian School, Tinian Jr/Sr High School and Saipan International School came out on top of their respective events and heats in the middle school division of the PSS-NMA All School Athletics.
In heat 1 of the U14 boys 200m event, Dandan Middle School’s Christopher Cruz came in first with a time of 25.03 followed by Francisco M. Sablan Middle School’s Keeanu Villanueva with a time of 28.21 and SIS’ Landon Pudney with a time of 28.46.
Heat 2 was led by ACS’ Shulun He who clocked 26.6. FMS’ Changhwan Ryu was second with a time of 27.33 and Tanapag Middle School’s Abraham Falig was third with a time of 27.59.
DMS added another win with Kamron Pangelinan bagging first place in heat 3 with a time of 28.45. Hopwood Middle School’s Yi Wei Zou was second at 29.07 while Chacha Oceanview Middle School’s Jesse Lin was third with a time of 33.42.
In heat 4, SIS’ Audiescott Iakopo finished first with a time of 25.94 followed by SIS’ Mosha Sikkel with a time of 26.58 and SCS Patrick Mcdonald with a time of 32.1.
The top three runners of heat 5 were ACS’ Daniel Yang who clocked 27.04; DMS’ Peter Camacho, 29.1; and FMS’ Peyton Basa, 33.38.
U14 girls
In the U14 girls 200m event, ACS’ Barbara Wang led heat 1 with a time of 30.88 followed by DMS’ Ayanna Stole in second with a time of 32.33 and FMS’ Kohane Nishimura in third with a time of 33.01.
Heat 2 was led by COVMS’ Paige Blanco who clocked 30.61 followed by Tinian’s Chae Yun, 33.93, and FMS’ Maryiel Baculod, 36.01.
TMS made the list as well with Rhodalyn Zandueta taking first in heat 3 with a time of 31.22. Coming in second was DMS’ Romalyn Ada clocked with a time of 32.47 while TMS’ Rayven Quitano finished third at 32.97.
In heat 4 Tinian’s Ysabella Lenteja was first at 28.35; HMS’ Yelynn Ha was second, 31.23; and TMS’ Sari Barman was third, 32.08.
Long distance
In the long distance 800m race, GCA and SIS took the top spots.
Michael Miller gave GCA the edge in the U14 boys division by finishing first place with a time of 2:19.70.
SIS’ Moshe Sikkel was second with a time of 02:28.97 while ACS’ Daniel Song clocked in at 02:38.50 to finish third.
SIS claimed the U14 girls division with Aubrey White finishing first at 03:05.87. HMS’ Yelynn Ha was second with a time of 03:22.09 while Rhodalyn Zandueta was third with a time of 03:22.09.
ACS and DMS also took the spotlight in the 3000m challenge.
The boys division was led by ACS’ Raffy Cai with a time of 11:20.29 followed by ACS’ Daniel Song who clocked at 12:04.14 and DMS’ Landen Taflinger with a time of 12:21.08.
The girls division was led by DMS’ Addalee Taflinger with a finish time of 13:36.35 followed by ACS’ Barbara Wang with a time of 13:59.20 and SIS’ Faith Arriola with a time of 15:20.57.
