ALFRED Aldan Jr. topped the Amigos Golf Club August Ace of the Month Tournament on Saturday at the Kingfisher Golf Links.
He may not be as experienced as many golfers in the club, but that did not stop him from excelling in the two-day competition.
On day-one held on Aug. 15, Aldan shot a gross of 89. With a generous handicap of 22, his net score was 67.
On day-two, Aldan struggled and scored a gross of 96. But with a 22-handicap, his net score was 73 and total net score was 140 which gave him the Ace title.
In second place was Nick Guerrero who notched a gross score of 93 on day one. With a handicap of 20, his net score was 73. On day-two, he managed to tightened his swing to score a gross of 90 which, with the help of a 20-handicap, gave him a net score of 70 and a total net score of 143.
As for the side events, Janet Torres led the list for the closest to the pin on hole #6. Dave Jones excelled on holes #8 and #12 while Dung Tenorio triumphed on hole #15.
The next club tournament is set for Sunday, Sept. 5, at the Kingfisher Golf Links.
On Sunday, Aug. 29, the Amigos Golf Club celebrated the birthday of Shirlyn Jones at the Kingfisher Golf Links.
The club would also like to thank Kingfisher for its continuous support.
