PARADISE Realty remains one of the top teams in the open division of the Saipan Centennial Lions Club Basketball League after blowing past Supertech, 122-46, on Friday at the TSL Sports Complex.
Paradise Realty’s hoopsters were simply unstoppable as they dished out a 40-point production in the opening quarter.
Atan and Dave Sablan led the onslaught with 12 points apiece while big man Juan Camacho added 10 points from inside the paint for a 40-10 lead.
With their team enjoying a comfortable advantage, Paradise Realty’s other players had a chance to shine. Tapay exploded on the offensive end with 10 points while Joyner and Castro chipped in four points each to keep the momentum burning.
Supertech, for their part, failed to capitalize while Paradise Realty’s starting five were on the bench, scoring seven points only.
Supertech’s biggest run came during the third canto when Daluyen and Ege started to heat up. However, it was still not enough as Paradise Realty continued to deliver, leading by 50 points, 89-35, at the end of the third quarter.
The lead only grew larger in the final quarter when Atan found his range from beyond the arc with six triples as Paradise Realty cruised to a convincing victory, 122-46.
JTM vs IT&E
JTM joined the winner’s circle as they escaped with the win against IT&E, 84-80.
IT&E started strong with Giron igniting in the first quarter to score 12 points and give his team a 23-16 lead.
In the second quarter, JTM changed tactics. Their better ball movement and communication resulted in a scoring spree, but IT&E maintained a steady pace and fought back to even the score, 53-53, by the end of the third quarter.
Despite IT&E’s efforts, fatigue started to kick in as only six players were at the team’s disposal. JTM took advantage as they rotated their roster properly with each individual player performing their assigned role to secure the win, 84-80.
