BEN Jones Sr. clinched the October Ace of the Month title of the Amigos Golf Club after coming out on top of a three-way-tie Sunday at the Laolao Bay Golf & Resort west course.
Like Jones, Jay Muna and Mike Muna recorded a two-day net total of 141.
The Amigos Golf Club had to go through the score card playoff to determine the winner. On hole #4 Jay Muna and Ben Jones shared a par while Mike Muna ended with a bogey. This gave Jones and Muna the upper hand as they were the only two players tied on holes #1, #2, #3, #8, #10 and #15.
But on hole #16 where Muna ended with a par Jones shot a birdie which gave him the October title.
Later this year, Jones will join the rest of the 2022 aces in vying for the Ace of Aces title.
As for the side event on Sunday, Frank Sablan led the list on hole #3; Nick Leon Guerrero was supreme on hole #7; Ben Duenas topped hole #13; and Joe Torres reigned on hole #13. Each was given $140.
The November qualifying tournament will be held on Oct. 23, 2022 at the Laolao Bay Golf & Resort east course.
