D9ER’S ended the regular season with a bang by edging the Survivors, 7-6, in the 2023 Tan Holdings Saipan Baseball League Thursday at the Francisco “Tan Ko” Palacios Baseball Field.
The action started early with the Survivors’ first two at bat rounding the bases and Austin Hocog earning an RBI along the way.
But thanks to the Survivors’ defensive errors, the D9er’s answered with four runs to grasp control, 4-2.
The Survivors tried to close the distance with a run in at the top of the second inning, but D9er’s replied with a solo run in the bottom of the third to maintain the lead, 5-3.
Although the Survivors fought back with three runs in the top of the fourth, D9er’s answered with two runs in the bottom of the fifth to remain afloat, 7-6, en route to victory.
