ETHAN Yumul and Nanako Celis rose to the top in round 2 of the Marianas Racing Association Points Race Series as they outperformed their competition in their respective classes Sunday at Cowtown Raceway Park.
Yumul managed to find his way to the top of the Novice class thanks to a steady performance. In heat 1, the young rider pushed the pedal to the metal and never looked back. His skills were unmatched as he controlled his balance and executed the tight turns correctly to maintain the lead and finish first for 25 points. Although he struggled in heat 2 and ended in second place for 22 points, his 47-point total was enough to secure the overall top spot.
In second place was Aric Cruz who came in second in heat 1 and third in heat 2 for a total of 42 points.
Joseph Santos was third with 37 points.
The battle for overall fourth place was close but it was Bob Ferrer who finished fourth in heat 2 to beat Keoni Macaranas who ended in fifth place. Both riders garnered a total of 36 points.
Power Puff Girls
In the Power Puff Girls class, Nanako Celis was numero uno with 47 points. In round 1, she finished behind Billie Pangelinan, but Celis stepped up in heat 2 to finish first overall with 47 points.
Shaniah Alvarez came in second by collecting 22 points in heat 1 and 22 points in heat 2 for a total of 42 points.
Billie Pangelinan started off strong with a first-place finish in heat 1 for 25 points. However, she lost her touch in heat 2 and ended in fifth place for 15 points and a total score of 40 points.
Miyako Celis came in fourth with 36 points and finished ahead of Sheanna Pangelinan who also had 36 points but had to settle for fifth place.
Big Boy ATV
In the Big Boy ATV class, Christian Camacho notched yet another 50-point performance. The battle for second place was more intense with Rex Susulin finishing ahead of Henry Camacho in heat 2 to break their tie. Both had 42 points.
