THE Hot Shots earned their sixth win by trouncing the 670 Babes, 13-2, in the women’s division of the Budweiser Belau Amateur Softball League Sunday at the Dandan baseball field.
The Hot Shots exploded right off the bat, delivering seven runs in the opening inning. Janice Celis and Daisy Kaipat led the assault with a two-RBI single each.
The 670 Babes did have an answer in the bottom of the first with two runs, but that was the end of their offense as they remained silent for the remainder of the game.
The Hot Shots, for their part, scored four more runs in the top of the second inning with Janeeka Lizama and Devonne Sablan notching an RBI each and two made off errors while adding two more runs in the top of the third.
Although the 670 Babes denied any more runs, they waved the white flag after just four innings of play, accepting defeat at the hands of the Hot Shots, 2-13.
The Queens of Diamonds and the Hotshots exchange high fives at the conclusion of their game in the Budweiser Belau Amateur Softball League at the Dandan baseball field.
