JOE Sablan Jr. is now on the list of the elite after clinching the April Ace of the Month title of the Amigos Golf Club following a two-day tournament at the Kingfisher Golf Links.
Sablan started day one on April 18 with a strong performance as he notched the best score among the competition.
He completed the course with a gross of 72, and with a handicap of 10, held a net score of 62 to take the lead.
On day two of the tournament on April 25, Sablan struggled a bit but managed to hang on. He ended with a gross of 77 which was sliced by his 10 handicap to a net score of 67 for a combined total net of 129.
In second place was Chris “Superman” Guerrero who shot over par on day one, scoring a gross of 93 which, with a handicap of 22, gave him a net score of 71.
Guerrero managed to slightly improve his swing on day two, scoring a gross of 90 and, thanks to a 22 handicap, a net of 68 for a total net score of 139.
In the Closest to the Pin side event, Bill Quitano was supreme at hole #6, Joe Sablan Jr. triumphed at holes #8 and #12, and Dung Tenorio ruled hole #15. Each received a cash prize of $155.
