JUNG Eun Teack bagged the Saipan Golf Association’s November Ace of the Month title on Dec. 18, 2022 at Laolao Bay Golf & Resort.
Jung Eun Teack struggled on the front nine, shooting a gross of 43. But he tightened his swing on the back nine, scoring a gross of 41 for a gross total of 84. With a 16 handicap, his net score was 68 which gave him the top spot and the November Ace title.
In second place was Tony Benavente who shot 38 on the front and back nines for a total gross of 76. With a handicap of 6, his net score was 70.
Das Krishnan and Larry Deleon Guerrero tied for third place with a net score of 71.
But Krishnan won the tiebreaker because he shot 40 and 41 for a total gross of 81 with a 10 handicap while Deleon Guerrero shot 42 and 50 for a total gross of 92 and a handicap of 21.
For the Closest to the Pin side event, Tony Benavente triumphed on holes #3 and #17 while Mariano Fajardo reigned on hole #13.
For the Longest Drive, Rick Kautz stole the show by taking holes #2 and #18.
Jung Eun Teack now joins the rest of the Saipan Golf Association’s 2022 Aces: Edward C. Sablan (January), Frances M. Sablan (February), Nick C. Sablan (March), Larry I. Deleon Guerrero (April), Alex Tudela (May), Mariano Fajardo (June), Rick Kautz (July), Das Krishnan (August), Ed Manibusan (September), and Tony Benavente (October).
The 2022 December Ace of the Month Tournament is set for Sunday, Jan. 15, 2023 while the Ace of Aces 2022 Tournament will be held on Jan. 28 & 29, Saturday and Sunday. As for the 2023 January Ace title, it is up for grabs on Jan. 29, 2023.
