Kelvin ‘The Big Hit’ Fitial vies for pro heavyweight title on Aug. 21

AFTER a two-year hiatus, Kelvin “The Big Hit” Fitial will return to Mixed Martial Arts action against Rakim “The Boogeyman” Cleveland in a pro heavyweight title match on Aug. 21 in Shepherdsville, Kentucky.

For the past couple of weeks, Fitial, 37, has been training in Richmond, Kentucky with the Four Seasons Martial Arts Gym.

“I feel ready and excited for this fight opportunity,” Fitial said in an interview with Variety.

The last time Fitial was in the cage was on March 29, 2019 when he lost to Ben Sosoli via KO in round 1 of the Hex Fight Series 18.

“Although my last fight was a while ago, my training never stopped,” said Fitial whose  current win-loss-draw record is 15-9-2.

He believes his constant training at Four Seasons Martial Arts Gym will help hone his skills.

“I typically run in the morning, then train at Four Seasons Martial Arts in the afternoon and close out my night at the gym,” he said.

“I will be going in and sticking to the game plan my coach Raymond Diaz and I have been training on,” he added.

His opponent Rakim “The Boogeyman”  Cleveland, 32, has a 21-13-1 record.  His most recent fight was a TKO victory in round 2 at 1:27 against Scott Hough in the North Iowa Fights on April 24, 2021.

Born in Dayton, Texas, his last weigh-in was 259 lbs, and like Fitial, he is 6’3″.
