DOMINIC Kieffer and Amier Younis topped the Double Peoria category of the 2022 Saipan Chamber of Commerce Annual Golf Tournament with a net score of 68.8 on Saturday at LaoLao Bay Golf & Resort.
The pair had a stellar performance on the front nine. Their best highlight was recorded on hole #5 where Kieffer and Younis closed the 5-par hole with an eagle. With a birdie on hole #9 and no bogeys committed, they shot 3-under par with a gross of 33.
Kieffer and Younis then solidified their lead on the back nine. Despite an early bogey on hole #3, they made up for it with two consecutive birdies, another eagle on hole #16 and one more birdie on hole #18 to go 5-under par and a gross of 31.
Their gross total was 64 with a handicap of -4.80 which gave them a net score of 68.8 and the title.
In second place were Matt Deets and Chris Groves with a net score of 70. They shot 33 on the front nine and 31 on the back nine, but their handicap was -6.00.
In third place were Zhuyun Li and Fengchun Jin with a net score of 70.20. The pair scored a gross of 33 on the front nine and excelled on the back nine with a gross of 30 for a total gross score of 63. However, their handicap of -7.20 gave them a net score of 70.20.
