TEAM KLIQ won the Scoutz U18 Baseball Team Softball Tournament title by taking down Team Skeet, 29-19, on Saturday at the Capital Hill ballfield.
KLIQ established control right from the start, scoring 10 runs, including solo homeruns made by Patrick Tenorio Jr., Eli Augenbaugh, and Keith Kintol.
Skeet slowly worked their way back by silencing KLIQ in the next two innings while scoring eight runs with two homeruns courtesy of Nate Camacho in the bottom of the second and Taylor Sablan in the bottom of the third to cut KLIQ’s lead, 8-10.
However, KLIQ rekindled the momentum with six runs in the top of the fourth inning and eight more in the top of the fifth while Skeet could score two runs only as KLIQ widened its lead, 24-10.
Skeet continued to put up a fight with two runs in the bottom of the sixth and seven more in the bottom of the seventh and final inning. But KLIQ bagged five runs of their own to triumph, 29-19, and win the championship. They remained undefeated throughout the entire tournament.
KLIQ’s lineup consisted of Steven Kim, Eli Augenbaugh, Tony Tenorio, Poland Masaharu, Jay Kintol, Brian Camacho, Jose Villagomez, Thorn Sablan, Jerald Cabrera, Keith Kintol, and Peter Tenorio.
