13 fights expected at Trench Warz 13

Clashing in the main event at 155 lbs. are Guam’s Ryan “The Dentist” Urquizu and Trench Tech’s Giovanni “Palakse” Sablan. Hailing from Team Fight To Win, Urquizu boasts an MMA record of 14 wins and four losses, with one loss coming from Sablan during their fight in Preba Hao 10. The revenge match between both fighters “is the most anticipated rematch of the decade and will definitely be a fight of the ages,” said Trench Tech president Cuki Alvarez.

Along with the main event is a USA vs. Japan super fight between American Kick Boxing Academy’s JJ Ambrose (7W-2L) and PureBred Japan’s Masakazu Taguchi (3W-5L). Ambrose appeared in The Ultimate Fighter season 12, and is an expert in jiu jitsu like Taguchi.

In addition, Vengeance will feature eight more pro bouts, two amateur bouts, and one K-1 kickboxing match between “Tabi” Jay Muna and Jake Ilo.

Peter “Big Mac” Miyasaki and Moses Buekis will be fighting at 255 lbs in their super heavy weight bout, while Team Predator Combat’s Martin “Ning” Cepeda will be heading against Ambrose’s training partner, Jason Kirkland at 185 lbs.

Aside from Taguchi, Tomoya Kato will also be representing Japan against Guam’s Rob “The Real Deal” Wusstig. Thomas Cruz, another fighter from Guam, will be going against Trench Tech’s Fasi “Quik Draw” Jesse (6W-2L) at 165 lbs. Cruz’s training partner, Wyeneu “One Time” Bamba looks forward to a KO against Trench Tech’s Darrel “The Derailer” Salas.

Other fights in the pro bout will include: Ed “Styx” Castro (2W-0L) vs. Slade “The Rage” Adelbai, Derrick “El Peligro” Rangamar (3W-9L) vs. Tinian’s Craig “EarthQuake” Borja, and Team HAGA’s CJ Takai (2W-3L) vs. Mark “The Dark” Nuique (5W-0L).

One of Trench Warz 13’s amateur bouts will feature Tinian’s Joe Ray “Manglo” Manglona vs. John “The Process” Moses.

With ‘Vengeance’ all set for October 29, Trench Tech continues its quest for Niana Dela Cruz’s opponent in her debut fight at 130 lbs.

Tickets are now available at the 670 RockSteady Shop, Hannam Market, BoarderLine, and Trench Tech, and sell for $25 each. “We are making the tickets affordable during these trying times,” said Alvarez.
