The event will take on a four-person scramble format with a double Peoria handicap system that enables every player a chance to take home a grand prize. Participants may choose to enter individually where they will be randomly placed in a team, or they may enter their own four-person team.
The format uses a ‘best ball’ style of play where after each shot, the team will decide which of their four balls they wish to play. For a donation of $20, teams may purchase one kick and one throw which they may use during the round. Other activities will include the ‘longest drive’ and ‘blindfolded drives.’
Proceeds from the event will benefit the Make-A-Wish Foundation, in an effort to grant the wishes of children who have been diagnosed with a life-threatening illness.
“The Hyatt encourages all types of golfers to enter as the tournament is all about fun,” said Hyatt’s Yulia Camacho in an email.
