Galaxy, Palau Royal Resort (PRR), Ministry of Finance, Ministry of Education’s Spiders, and the defending season champs Palau Pacific Resort – Shark Attack are the teams left to scuffle to reach the prestigious season finals.
Galaxy did not give any chance to the PNOC – Mercury basketball team to make a comeback as they poured in all they’ve got with Castro leading the charges by scoring 25 points for team Galaxy, while being helped by streak shooter Senandre who put in 19 markers to end the game at a score of 82 – 76. PRR dealt with their opponent, MPIIC at a final score of 74 – 65, with their player in guard position, Agent, contributed 27 points while team mate Russ shot for 19.
As for other results, MOF drubbed team KSG with a score of 86 – 74 while last year’s title holder got a whopping 32 points from stellar player Javis Pedro to stun the business division champs, Fish N Fins, with a final tally of 62 – 54. As for the last team to move to the next bracket rounds, MOE – Spiders went strong on the last quarter to brush off a strong team from Cliffside Hotel when five players scored in double figures, Taka with 28 points, Curtis scoring 18 inside the paint, George shooting 16 with 4 three point shots, Raymond putting in 12 on fast break points, and Destin who labored his shots mostly on the line.
