A+ Consulting takes UFO Masters opener

WITH Alex Lauron dominating in the paint and scoring 18 points, A+ Consulting secured a victory in the opening game of the 17th IT&E–United Filipino Organization Basketball League’s Masters Division at the Gilbert C. Ada Gymnasium on Sunday.

A+ Consulting ended the first half with a three-point lead and maintained a slim advantage until the final buzzer to edge The Water Front Oasis, 69–65.

Jun Estolas opened the scoring for A+ Consulting and worked in tandem with Lauron to help control the game in the first half. Estolas finished with 12 points.

In the second half, Lauron kept sizzling, hitting consecutive two-pointers to lead A+ Consulting to victory.

Playing for The Water Front Oasis, Senate President Dennis Mendiola knocked down three three-pointers, while Rep. Elias Rangamar added two points. Teammate Natividad contributed four treys from behind the arc.
