The NMA board members, he said voted young athletes based on their performance. The nomination has been done already but the names will be revealed today.
Eugenio said one in each age bracket from boys and one from the girls were selected so there’s going to be five boys and five girls to be in the list of the outstanding athletes.
The schools that participated in the McDonald’s tournament are Kagman Elementary School, Dandan Elementary School, Tanapag Elementary School, Koblerville Elementary School, William S. Reyes Elementary School, San Vicente Elementary School, San Antonio Elementary School, Saipan Community School, Marianas High School, Kagman High School, Hopwood Junior High School, Saipan Southern High School, Whispering Palms School, Brilliant Star School, Saipan International School, Ladera International School Saipan and Grace Christian Academy.
There are cases however that two participants tie in an event, so it possible Eugenio said that there can be two nominees in one age bracket thus, more than 10 outstanding may be selected.
The schedule of awarding for the 10 outstanding athletes is now being finalized, Eugenio said.
