Apelo, Mangali lead Taga versus Mythical, 81-73

Firing a pair of early two-pointers, Apelo gave Taga a strong start. Mangali connected a three-point opportunity as he picked up the first foul of the game to secure the lead in the first quarter.

The Taga Watchmen’s young age became noticeable from the very beginning and they continued to outrun Mythical for the blow out win.

Apelo heated up to score nine more points to help Taga swell their lead towards the end of the first half.

Mangali focused on setting up the play, while Lansang led the entire squad to pick up where Apelo and Mangali left off during the third quarter, and Taga protected their lead.

With oozing confidence in the fourth quarter, the Taga Watchmen’s shooting did not slacken.

Mangali continued the surge as he poured in eight points in the final quarter while Ong charged the basket furiously a number of times to add six of his 13 points and Taga never trailed to win the game.

Jun Tabora tried match Taga’s speed earning him 27 points while Francis Rebuyon used his wits in the offense to chip in 11 points in a losing attempt to close in.
