THE Bangladesh Football Club trounced Shirley’s Football Club 2, 8-0, in the Marianas Soccer League 2 Friday at the NMI Soccer Training Center in Koblerville.
BFC managed to build momentum early as they quickly broke through SFC’s defensive wall and forced them to accidently score in their own goal.
Not too long after, Ratol Islam found the back of the net after just four minutes of play to establish a 2-0 lead.
SFC 2 managed to recover and tightened their defense as they held their ground for the next 15 minutes. However, it only delayed the inevitable as BFC eventually refueled and squeezed in four more goals to extend the deficit, 6-0, by halftime.
SFC 2 tried to catch up with several shot attempts throughout the second half, but to no avail, while BFC picked their shots and succeeded twice with MD. Arif Khan earning a hat-trick with his third goal at the 50th minute mark followed by Nadim Imitiaz’s first goal at the 78th minute mark to secure the win, 8-0.

The game between the Shirley’s Football Club 1 and the WNT Development Team ended in a draw, 0-0; Matansa Football Club triumphed over MP United Football Club, 4-1; and Old B Bank slipped past Hana Football Club, 2-1.
