Bank of Guam pounds Tinian, 95-83 to lead season

 

Peters scored with easy two points to break the tie twice in the fourth quarter and the BOG never looked back.

Jason Taisacan basketed two three-pointers in the third quarter and scored eight in the fourth to finish with 17 points.  

Randy Pelisamen who backed Peters up to secure the lead in the fourth quarter scored 19 points and James Lee who also helped BOG pull away in the final canto added 14 points.

Gus Palacios who did not score in the first quarter as he played defensively hit 11 markers in the second and third quarter. Scoring only one points in the fourth quarter, his aggressive defense worked to hold Tinian to two-digit points behind. He was in foul trouble minutes to the end of the game committing four fouls.

Lee’s three consecutive two-point jumpers helped BOG take over the lead in the early part of the second quarter, then, grabbed the lead again with an easy two point in the third.

Tinian’s John Santos exploded with seven three-pointers from second quarter all the way to the final quarter but his easy two-point became Tinian’s last as BOG nailed them to 95-83.
