BEAU Bauer and LoVel Spaeth capped the PSS All School Cross Country SY24-25 event with strong performances during the championship races as they topped their respective age divisions of the elementary school category at the Saipan Vegas Country Club on Saturday.

Unlike in previous years, this year’s finale showcased clear skies, which made it easier for runners to take on the course.

Leading the list was Grace Christian Academy’s Beau Bauer, who remains the fastest runner in the elementary school division, clocking 6:30 to solidify his No. 1 rank in the U12 boys individual standings.

In second place was Saipan International School’s Gabriel Walsh who clocked 6:43 followed by Garapan Elementary School’s Evan Poole at 6:49.

Brilliant Star School’s LoVel Spaeth finished first in the girls category with a time of 6:41, which also secured her top spot in the U12 girls individual standings.

Spaeth’s performance during the regular season was also dominant.

Asked how she felt about her results, she said, “It was good.”

She said she aimed to beat Bauer, but added that her main goal was to do her best, for which she thanked her parents.

Regarding her schoolmates, Spaeth said, “They tried really hard, and I think that is really important for our team. It was really fun running with them and having them support everyone else.”

In second place was SIS’ Kaylen Taflinger, who clocked 7:41 while Agape Christian School’s Angel You finished third at 8:03.

Sharing the spotlight with Spaeth was schoolmate Claire Fehrenbacker, who was the top U9 girls runner with a time of 7:49.

Coming in second was SIS’ Olivia Walsh at 7:57 while Mount Carmel School’s Chloe Mostales clocked  8:16 to finish third.

Among the U9 boys, Kagman Elementary School’s Brayden Brennfleck was the top racer with a finish time 7:27. GES’ Koen Pool was second at 7:33 while BSS’ Ellis Fehrenbacker was third at 7:35.
