Best Choice, Voyagers triumph

Ray Takai, Rodney Sacramento, Tero Takai, and Randy Sablan bagged their entire billiards rack first in both games one and two against the Pirates’ Bert Refugio, Joey Agulto, James Reyes, and Jack Cepeda nailing a four point lead ahead.

In the partners 8-Ball Doubles round Tero Takai and Ronnie Rabauliman nailed games one and two against the Pirates’ partners Bert Refugio and Mary Herrera to gain another point for the Best Choice. The Pirates clinched the final point during the last round of the 8-Ball Doubles after Joey Agulto and Frank Palacios succeeded in winning during the sudden death round, but the Pirates were still six points shy from defeating the Best Choice, 6-1.

Team IT&E Voyagers defeated Docomo Pacific’s Hustlers, 4-3 at the Utopia when IT&E notched a come-from-behind win against the Hustlers.

Jerry Soriano and teammate Senen Pangelinan collared the first two points of the opening 8-Ball Singles round after conquering games one and two against the Voyager’s Rey Pinangay and Jojo Talibong to start the marks up with two-zero. The Voyagers remained and team player Roman Rodriquez defeated the Hustler’s Jomar Enriquez after games one and two.

The Hustler’s Robert Santiago then redeemed the Hustlers after winning the tie breaker game against Luis Fajardo to put the score up at three-one. It was all over for team Hustlers.

During the 8-Ball Doubles round the Voyagers dominated after partners Boyet Sequioco, Jojo Talibong, Rey Pinangay, and RJ Mascarinas bagged both points including a singles tie breaker to secure the win under their belts, 4-3.

Voyagers, Home

Boyz share throne

The IT&E Voyagers currently top the 2011 Saipan Billiards Association League after pulling in 25 wins and 10 losses. They Voyagers hold the best statistical report after notching a close win against team Docomo Hustlers.

Team Jonny’s Home Boyz are currently tied with the Voyagers after recently defeating team Wild Bill’s Shark Attack after sweeping all seven points and the game right under them. The Home Boyz also hold an impressive 25 wins and 10 losses.

Closely tailing the Home Boyz is the Voyager’s sister team, team IT&E Incredibles weighing in at 24 wins and 11 losses after defeating the USSP Turtles, 6-1, last Thursday night. The Incredibles are pulling in a 68.6% winning average.

Team Docomo Hustlers seals the Agingan division after notching 21 wins and suffering 13 losses. The Hustlers recently suffered a one point upset against the IT&E Voyagers, 4-3, the domineering team of the division.

Fotten Palau tops

Obyan Division

In the Obyan Division, team USSP Fotten Palau shares a similar story with IT&E’s Voyagers. The Fotten Palaus are pulling in 19 wins and 16 losses after a recent coalition and victory against VFW’s X-Tream.

Teams D’Pirates Best Choice and VFW’s X-Tream notched second place in the division after nailing 14 wins and 21 losses. The Best Choice defeated Team Pirates with such domineering force, 6-1, while the VFW’s X-Tream suffered another upset against USSP Fotten Palau, 3-4.

Team USSP Turtles follow team X-Tream celebrating 11 wins and suffering 24 losses pulling in a 31.4% winning. Team Pirates seal the division with nine wins and 26 losses with a 25.7% winning average.
