THE Black 8 Savages are still climbing up the ladder in the Inter-Government Division of the 2024 SEDA Bud Light Dart League after slipping past the DPS True Enforcers, 8-7, and improving their record to 18 wins at the Black 8 Pool Bar on Friday.

The True Enforcers’ Jared Reyes drew first blood with the first win in the opening 501 Double in/Double Out match, but the Savages quickly recovered as Jesse Quitano, Elijah “MVP” Muna and Jake Santos triumphed over their respective opponents in exciting one-on-one battles to lead, 3-1.

As a team, the True Enforcers reigned supreme in the following Partners Crazy Cricket match. Bern “Wolf” Santos, along with Ton Kaipat, led the duo to victory with a 3.40 PPD while the second game had Kaegel Taitano, along with Jared Reyes, at the frontline with a 3.43 PPD for a two-win sweep and the first deadlock of the night, 3-3.

The True Enforcers’ Santos and Kaipat followed through by claiming the first game of the Partners 701 match, but the Savages’ Quitano found his stroke in the second game with a 25.06 PPD performance assisted by teammate Chan Doe to tie the score, 4-4.

The True Enforcers’ Santos and Taitano claimed the first two games of the Singles Regular Cricket match, but the Savages’ Doe and Quitano claimed the remaining two games. The following Partners Half-It match was also split evenly as both teams remain tied, 7-7.

But in the final Team 1101 match, the teamwork of Doe, Quitano, Santos and Jay Kintol was enough to outscore that of the True Enforcers’ Reyes, Kaipat, Taitano and Santos, allowing the Savages to claim the game-winning point and seal the deal, 8-7.
