THE Braves Jr. and Ol’Aces Jr. will be vying for the Junior Division championship title of the 2025 Saipan Little League Baseball season after coming out victorious against their respective opponents during  Saturday’s semifinal games at the Francisco “Tan Ko” Palacios Baseball Field.

The Braves Jr. easily advanced to the championship as they silenced the Blue Jays Jr., 14-0, recording a no-hitter along the way.

The Braves Jr. began the onslaught with an early one-run lead, with first at-bat Damian Marchadesch causing chaos in the infield by stealing his way to third base and later reaching home on a wild pitch in the top of the opening inning.

Defensively, the Braves Jr. were impenetrable, retiring the Blue Jays Jr.’s first three batters and allowing no hits in the bottom half.

The Braves Jr. then launched a barrage of runs in the top of the second inning, capitalizing on pitching and infield errors by the Blue Jays Jr. to score nine runs. Zekiel Falig added to the damage with an RBI triple, extending the gap to 11-0.

The Blue Jays Jr. could not find an answer to Braves Jr. pitcher Donray Barcinas, who struck out three consecutive batters in the bottom of the third inning. The Braves Jr. tacked on three more runs in the top half to make it 14-0.

With the Blue Jays Jr. unable to bring in any runs, the game ended early via the 10-run mercy rule after only four complete innings, giving the Braves Jr. a no-hitter victory and a seat in the championship game.

The Ol’Aces Jr. were given a free pass to the title game after the Marlins Jr. forfeited due to a shortage of players. Ol’Aces Jr. will now face the Braves Jr. for the Junior Division championship at a later date.

In the Senior Division, the Comets came out victorious in a nail-biting semifinal against Ol’Aces, 15-13, to advance to the championship round, where they will go up against the pennant champs — the Braves.
