Butter Fingers top Saipan Women’s Bowling youth tournament

Butter Fingers that won 40 games was awarded a trophy and brought home $110 cash during the awards presentation last Saturday.

They scored a total of 20,609 pin falls in all the games of the Saturday tournament that started in May.

Lucy Deleon Guerrero, the association secretary said Butter Fingers took over the lead when members of team Hard Knocks that has been on top of the standing through out the game pulled out one by one.

Sixteen-year-old Cruz teamed up with new members, Bret Cabrera who scored 4,567 pinfalls; Daylinne Joseph who struck 3,515 and Jeremy Williams.

Settling for second place were San Vicente 10 bowlers who came too late in the tournament but managed to pick up scoring a total 10,346 pin falls in their 23 victories.

The youth tournament was already in its fifth week when they played losing 25 games.

However, Ricky Reyes attributed to 2,563 pin falls to beat the three earlier teams while James Gonzales had 2179 pin falls. They got a trophy and brought home $90.

Jonah Delos Reyes led Sugar Spice to third place with 3,589 pin falls and Jacob Delos Reyes totaled 2,443. They brought home $80 and trophy.

Nestea settled for fourth place winning 17 games with 10,309 pin falls.

Rollers won 15 games for fifth place with 9,475 pin falls.

For the individual high score awards, Cruz was first placer in the high scratch game scoring 723 while Reyes scored 980 to top the high handicap game.

James Gonzales has increased by 6.18 percent to top the most improved bowlers of the season.
