Camacho, Capalad zoom Olivos past Westco, 65-64

Capalad spent most of the first quarter helping to control the defense.

In the third quarter however, he seemed to have seen Westco’s weakest spot and went all the way leading Olivos to grab the lead.

Buds Camacho and Jao Bernardo also scattered points in this part of the game as they scored seven points each.

Westco’s Nelson Samson heated up with two-pointers and Olan Tengco blasted from behind the arc to help Westco bounce back in the fourth quarter.

Randy Pelisamen added six points at this canto leading to a tie.

The game was in close battle when Capalad sank the final two-point shot and Olivos snatched the victory.

Meanwhile, the outcome of the first game between DL Cooking Gas and Mekiene Abe went under protest.

Mekieni Abe’s Mico Usi fired a tie-breaking two-pointer in the last few seconds but DL Cooking Gas protested it could have been a 24-minute violation.

Both teams were in 67-67 deadlock when Usi got the ball. The clock was in a one-second call when the shot was made but the Cooking Gas said that should no longer count.
