Both ended even with a net of 72, falling behind Ray Tigilau (70) and Diwain Stephens (71). Both Tigilau and Stephens had already won an RGA Ace tournament earlier this year and weren’t eligible for this month’s title.
Nate Guerrero followed with a 74 net and Tars Olopai earned 78 while Tom Tebuteb and Joe Saures posted 81 each.
Tebuteb and Stephens won closest to the pin at holes #6 and #12, respectively.
The RGA will host its October qualifier this Sunday, September 25 at Coral Ocean Point. Check in time is 11 a.m. and tee time is 12 p.m.
Members are reminded to prepare ideas for the RGA’s upcoming two-man scramble event.
The RGA also congratulates its president, Tony Rogolifoi, for winning the gold medal during the 14th Pacific Games in New Caledonia.
